What is Traveler's Yoga?
Traveler's Yoga is a practice rooted in hatha and therapeutic yoga with elements of reflexology & visualization, developed by kindred spirits with an insatiable wanderlust for travel and exploration.
Whether you're sailing, commuting via subway, immobilized on an airplane over the Atlantic Ocean, driving to the grocery store, or on a tour bus cross country...there is something for everyone in the Traveler's Yoga practice.
Join our journey or take us on yours...it's all about a traveler's lifestyle and supporting your unique peak performance so each step of the path can be appreciated, valued and treasured.
Sam...
...loves to travel and explore new places and cultures. And as much as my spirit is fed by these journeys, dealing with the trials of travel takes a toll on my mind, body and spirit; from sitting on a bus for 6 hours, to a 4 hour flight delay, to stressed out staff, and inconvenienced fellow travelers, sometimes I find myself holding my breath while I get from point A to point B. Not only is that counterproductive to maintaining my peak performance, but it keeps me from being in the moment and appreciating every step of the journey. So Meredith and I collaborated to create tools to take with you...whether it's doing a forward bend in the corner of the airplane terminal or practicing dirgha breathing while passing through a spot of turbulence.
I recently relocated back to my hometown of New York City. I teach hatha yoga classes both in the city, and at the beach...for class updates, email me at lacurateur@gmail.com.
My yoga practice is rooted in hatha yoga, with a tendency towards restorative yoga influenced by ongoing studies in therapeutic yoga, reflexology, peak performance, and a love of the Costa Rican pura vida spirit.
I share my yoga practice with freelance work in event production, online marketing, and partnership outreach & management for a selection of innovative and entirely awesome clients. A fairly full professional background may be found on Linked In.
